MozOut or TurboHost: comparison and which to choose in Mozambique

TurboHost bets on speed — the name says as much — and presents itself to several markets at once. That is where the differences start for anyone based in Mozambique.

Both are local providers, both sell hosting and domains. The short answer: on the basics they are similar, and the choice comes down to three or four details. Let us go through them one by one.

Hosting and panel

1 MozOutcPanel on Linux hosting and Plesk on Windows hosting, with CloudLinux, free SSL and Imunify360. Clear per-account limits — that is what stops a neighbour’s site ruining your day.
2 TurboHost — Uses the DirectAdmin panel, and advertises LiteSpeed, SSD/NVMe disks, free SSL and WordPress. DirectAdmin is light and fast; anyone coming from cPanel takes a while to find the menus, but it does the same job.

Domains

1 MozOut.mz registered with CIUEM by us, with free transfers, a DNS manager in the panel and nameserver changes you make yourself, at any hour.
2 TurboHost — On the pages we read we did not find .mz listed. If your national domain matters, confirm with them before buying — we register it with CIUEM.

How you pay

1 MozOutMeticais, with a local invoice your accountant accepts.
2 TurboHost — The site offers metical and kwanza, but the figure shows in dollars by default. A foreign-currency price depends on the day’s rate and your card’s fees.

Backups

1 MozOutEvery night before dawn, kept for a year, restored through JetBackup from the panel.
2 TurboHost — The page does not detail the backup policy. Ask about frequency, retention and whether restoring costs.

Customer support

1 MozOutWhatsApp, panel ticket and e-mail 24 hours a day, plus phone calls from 08:00 to 16:00 — all in Portuguese, with a written record of everything asked and done kept in the panel.
2 TurboHost — Advertises 24/7 support.

For companies: VPS and reseller

1 MozOut — VPS, Cloud, dedicated and reseller. Servers are unmanaged by default — delivered with the OS and full access.
2 TurboHost — Has VPS and reseller plans, and advertises free migration — as do we.

Where TurboHost is strong

If your audience is international and you do not need a .mz domain, TurboHost is a serious option, and LiteSpeed is a real technical advantage.

Why we recommend MozOut

If you want everything in one place and in local currency: national domain, hosting, e-mail and invoice on one account. We are among the few who state in writing how long backups are kept — one year — and let you restore them yourself from the panel, with no ticket and no waiting. Add CloudLinux, which stops a neighbour’s site ruining your performance, Imunify360 against malicious code, free SSL that renews itself, free migration of your current site, free .mz transfers, over 100 domain extensions and one-click WordPress.

Entry price: the Pro Hosting plan starts at MT 600/month (7.200 a year), with SSL, backups and cPanel included. Price current in August 2026 — check the store for today’s figure.

In short. For a business in Mozambique — with a national domain, an invoice in local currency and someone who answers any hour by WhatsApp, ticket or e-mail — MozOut is the choice we recommend. And if you ever change your mind, you take everything with you, with no fee.

The test worth more than this article. Before deciding, send a technical question to both support teams and compare how long they take and how good the answer is. That applies to them and to us — it is how you judge a provider.

Comparison drawn from each provider’s public pages in August 2026. We did not test their services, and the information may have changed since. If you spot anything out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
