Hostinger in Mozambique: what it offers, what it leaves out, and alternatives

Hostinger is one of the largest hosting companies in the world, and it reaches Mozambique the way it reaches everywhere: over the internet, with low entry prices and its own panel. If you are considering it, it is worth knowing what you get — and what is left out when the business is Mozambican.

What Hostinger does well

1 Very low entry price, especially on long contracts. That is hard to compete with in the first term.
2 Many data centres around the world, which helps if your audience is international.
3 Its own panel, simple and well made, built for people who have never administered a site.
4 Scale: millions of sites, extensive documentation and mature tooling.

What is left out if you are in Mozambique

1 The .mz domain. On the date we checked, Hostinger had dedicated pages for extensions like .pt and .co.za, but no page for .mz or .ao. The hosting can live there, but your national domain has to be registered somewhere else.
2 The currency. You pay in a foreign currency, with your card's exchange rate and fees on top. The price on the page is rarely the amount that leaves your account.
3 The invoice. A foreign invoice does not always work for a Mozambican company's accounts.
4 Time zone and language. Support answers — but not always in your hours, and not always in Portuguese.

When Hostinger is the right call

If the site is a personal or international project, if your audience is not in Mozambique and price matters above all, it makes sense. There is no point pretending otherwise.
