The page you are looking at is a temporary welcome page (a file called default.php) that MozOut places in every new hosting account. It is there so your address shows something friendly — instead of a blank page or an error — while the account is still empty. The moment you publish your own website, it steps aside on its own.
As soon as there is an index.html or index.php file in your public_html folder, that file becomes your home page and this welcome page is no longer shown. It never overrides your real site — it only appears while there is nothing else to show, so most people never need to remove it at all. |
Prefer to delete it by hand?
If you would rather remove the file, it takes a few seconds. Use whichever way you are comfortable with.
To remove it for good, empty the Trash afterwards (top-right corner of the File Manager). |
Connect to your account with an FTP program, open the public_html folder, right-click default.php and choose Delete. See FTP accounts and connecting with FileZilla if you have not set that up yet. |
|
Delete it only after your own site is online. This welcome page appears only when there is no index file in public_html. If you delete it while the folder is still empty, your address will show an empty page or a “403 / 404” error until you upload your site. The safe order is simple: upload your site first, then remove this page if you still want to. |
