Which hosting plan for a delivery, transport or taxi service

Choosing the Right Plan··· 199 views· 3 min read

The short answer: someone looking for a delivery or transport service wants to know whether you reach where they are, what it costs and how to call, almost always from a phone and in a hurry. It is a light site: the entry plan is enough. What decides is how fast it opens and the call or WhatsApp button.

What weighs, and what does not

Part of the site What to do
Service area Say in text where you work (neighbourhoods, cities, distances). It is what people look for first.
Prices A simple table by zone or delivery type, or “from”. See Putting WhatsApp on your site for asking the exact price.
Call or order A call button and a WhatsApp one at the top, big. If you take orders through the site, a short form.
Hours When you answer, including holidays and nights. Keep it the same as on the Google Business Profile: Being found on Google.
Customer data Addresses and phone numbers are personal data. Do not publish them, and ask only what is needed in the form: Personal data protection.

How to choose, step by step

1 Start with the entry plan and one or two pages: the service, the areas, the contact.
2 Test on a phone, on mobile data, and on a weak connection: A site that loads on slow mobile data.
3 Put the direct-call phone number at the top of every page.
4 Review the plan if you start having an app of your own or live delivery tracking: then it is no longer a presentation site and may need a VPS: VPS servers.
Do not promise times you do not control. “Delivered in 30 minutes” is a promise that, once broken, costs a customer. Prefer “usually in X” or leave the time for confirmation. Transport rules vary by country: check yours.
For those who call on WhatsApp, a ready-written message saves time on both sides.

SituationPlanWhy
Start: the service, the areas, the prices and a call buttonPro1 site, 10 GB NVMe SSD and unlimited e-mail accounts on your own domain
Several cities or services, each with its own sitePlus6 sites and 20 GB NVMe SSD, with 200 e-mails per hour for order notices
An app of your own or live tracking of deliveriesVPSfull SSH access; the VPS1 has 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 40 GB NVMe

WHEN TO MOVE UP: Move up to Plus when you open the service in another city and want a site for it. The step that really changes is the app: if you start having your own app or live delivery tracking, it is no longer a presentation site and a VPS gives you the access and the room such software asks for. Moving up can be done at any time and the site is not lost.
